Determine Height of a Person By His Shoe Size/ Footprints

Generally footprints are proportional to the height of a person.
Though the result may not give the accurate results always, but still there is a way to approximately determine the height of a person by measuring the footprint's size.

Here's how:

  • Measure the length of the adult's left foot from the wall to the tip of the big toe. (Marked in the picture)
  • Divide the length by his/her height and multiply by 100
  • Try the same thing with few more adults and the result should be around 15. Resulting that a person's footprints is about 15% of his/her height.
